Bonsoir everyone!  Heard Oregon had some pretty nice weather this past week.  Well, no rain in December is pretty good i guess.  We escaped the rain as well but it was colllllld!  But of course the sun made it better so it's all good.  We had  a great week in the ministry this past week.  I think anytime we talk to just 1 person is a good week. Let me share.

On Wednesday, I was working with a sister and we were on our way to the territory and we met a real nice lady from St. Martin (I know Stan, your favorite place in the Carribbean).  We talked with her for a few minutes and she asked if we wanted to join her for tea to continue talking (yes, she suggested it). So of course, we went - do you remember I said it was cold this week? We sat down and shared scriptures with her and talked about her family life and how she tries to instill good values and morals into her children.  She is here in Montpellier so her 2 kids can attend University (alot of people travel her just to attend school).  She is Protestant and very open and we had a great 2 hour conversation!  She gave her info to the sister and since she does not work here, it should be easier to schedule a return visit.

Then later that afternoon, Chris had made an appointment with someone he met on the Tram a few weeks ago.  The first time they met - they only talked a few minutes before he had to get off at his stop and gave Chris his number.  So we met with him and sat down for coffee and reviewed the first paragraph in the Tract from the campaign and read scriptures.  Then Chris offered him the Bible Teach book and introduced the study arrangement.  He accepted and wants to set up a study after his vacation.

And Thursday I was with the same sister from Wednesday, and we had a real nice conversation with someone she met during phone witnessing.  The lady wanted to meet to discuss the Trinity and brought a friend (who brought a sticky note with scriptures and things to discuss).  But it actually went good.  She was open and allowed us to reason and share all the scriptures we wanted.  The sister brought the Greek scriptures (purple bible) and the KJ version.  It really helped.  2 hours later, with no heated disagreements, we said our good-bye's and the sister provided the lady with the Trinity brochure and her number.  So you never know....

Besides service, we went over to a family's this week for dinner.  You should see the spread the French put out!  Man, I have no idea how they stay so slim - it's crazy all the food and courses! Believe me, we are not complaining.  I love this country!!!!  Hopefully our bodies will pick up on the French metabolism and lose some weight :-)  Then we had a sister and her kids over and had a nice walk on the beach and played games and ate.  Everyone is so nice here - we feel like family already....don't worry, we are not getting any ideas.  We are coming home - sometime :-)

This week we are going to mix up our service a bit.  We are going to do door to door, phone witnessing and some villages.  It's funny cause the village territory is a lot like if we were home.  You drive around and check houses and numbers and get back in the car and keep doing that.  But the city territory is walk, walk, walk...but we need that!  It's nice to be able to experience all facets of the ministry.

Miss you all and hope you have a great week whatever it is you are doing.  Take care!

don't worry about us back at home "sometime", just keep on going as long as you can in this amazing avenue of service! that's what we all want for our petes!

even though we miss you, it would be selfish not to share you with the whole world!

  2. It it so wonderful to hear about all your experiences. We even had one of them re-enacted at one of our service meetings. Jehovah is truly blessing your efforts and you should stay there for as long as you can or for as long as you are needed. The expansion of your ministry is an encouragement to us all.
    Love
