Then on Friday we went back to Sete to return on the man from Texas. He was home but expecting company. He gave us his number so we can set up an appointment and he was looking forward to our next visit again.
Saturday was a COLD day but proved very productive. We started the morning with a return visit with a man from Liberia that has studied in the past. His family is in the truth. He went through alot with the wars in his country and one time he was separated from his family for 10 when he was young and raised by a Pastor. He came to France about 6 years ago. He really respects and likes the JW's as they were his family when he first moved here. But he has since stopped his study. He was very open and honest and we had a nice discussion with him. He really wants to restart a study so we will see how that goes. Then I went back to 2 return visits. They both were home. Unfortunately, the first lady (she is from NYC) had company but was still willing to come down from her flat to say hi. I didn't want to disturb her so she said i could return this week. The other lady was someone I met a few weeks ago. When we originally met, we discussed what she would like to see changed and how that could come about. She questions if there is a Creator. So on this first return visit, i brought her back the Creator book. Since she just returned from 2 weeks winter holiday visiting family, she asked me to put the book in her letter box. I hope to return to discuss some points from the book. Then on the way back to meet Chris to return home, a sister and I went into a store so i could buy some minutes for my new France mobile phone. Yes, i just now got a mobile phone. Imagine that...me without a cell phone for almost 3 months!! I know I know, but crazier things have happened. Anyway, I had my Bible on me and the lady helping us spoke English. She is French but was in California and NY for school. She asked what we were doing and after we explained she said she remembers the WT in Brooklyn and says she loves to read the La Tour de Garde (Watchtower in French). She picks them up from the brothers with the mobile stands near the University she attends. She even studied at one time! And she remembers seeing the sister at school that was with me. So the sister is hoping to see her next time at school and try to engage her in another conversation.
This week we plan to do door to door and phone witnessing. We also have a couple new personal territories and it requires that we start searching for English by looking in the phone book, territory and white pages. So we have a lot work ahead of us...but very excited.
Thanks for all the nice comments and personal emails. We appreciate hearing from you as much as you enjoy hearing from us. Beacoup d'amore!
