Then we stayed the weekend with a real nice couple that live in a cute little village about an hour from Montpellier. We just hung out, played games, ate bread and cheese and wine (have i told you lately i love France). Then we went into Pezenas on Saturday for the ministry. There's a market there every Saturday in this village so always lots of people. So you know how it is...preach a little, shop a little (Pat and Lois would love it here)! And it was great - the sister and I were able to talk to a lady from English Guyana (she is actually already studying with a sister), 2 families from England, a lady from Denmark, and a man from Ireland. Not everyone was interested but we were able to leave tracts and one conversation lasted about 15 minutes on the street. Then Chris and the brother also were able to talk to a few people so we were all happy we had a successful morning.
Saturday evening was a baby shower for the sister that is from the US. In fact her sister used to be in Hall Blvd (years ago) and now goes to the double hall in Portland (small world). She is due in March and having a baby boy. The shower was lots of fun and guess what? The guys come too. Yep, they even played games with us. It was real nice to have all the families together..maybe we should try this back home.
It's late now so i must bid you all goodnight (bonne nuit). Miss you and have a wonderful week.

Allo!
ReplyDeleteThat shower was for Ilene, n'est-ce pas? She looks great! I'm so glad you've been able to meet her! It's great that the brothers attend the baby showers; they do that back home in Chicagoland fairly often, as well. It is good for brothers and sisters to do things together.
I'm so glad you're having a wonderful time, Petes!
Bisous,
Uani
