We were in the ministry all this week but really didn't get to talk much to anybody unfortunately. One day though this week, Chris and I were in a coffee shop and my return visit that I have not been able to find was there with 4 of her American friends. I met them all and chatted with her a bit. They all moved here to France for school and for a church group. She was pretty quiet around her friends but it was nice knowing there live here too and maybe get a chance to talk more sometime.
Chris' bible study from Cameroon came to his first meeting today! I think he really enjoyed it. He just stayed for Chris' talk but it's a start. Not sure how much of the talk he really understood because he speaks better French than English but he wants to study in English. He's a real nice kid (well he's 21). He enjoys his bible study - which is much slower pace and of course tailored for him.
Today after meeting we had our elder/pioneer meeting. Many were on holiday in December and January so we had to have our meeting late in Feb. It was very encouraging. Then after we all went over to a couple's house for a traditional french dish "raclette". They actually sell the raclette machine back home so we will have you all over to try out this awesome dish - I Love it! However, my stomach hates me afterward. The cheese here is so good and yet so creamy and I don't think our bodies have gotten used to it yet. Oh well...we only have 3 more months in France so I'm taking it all in while we can. It was a nice night. Food, drink, music and just hanging out and visiting. Really enjoyable.
Don't worry that we are having to much fun here - we really miss all of you. Hope you enjoyed the CO visit this week. Can't wait till Melita or Antony sends me copies of his talks (hint hint). You all have a great week. Love you always...
