Friday we went back to Meze and Marseillan (cute little villages by the Sea only about 40 minutes away) with the Special Pioneer couple from our hall. They have so much experience and so many good stories - we had fun with them. Between all of us, we found about 5 or 6 people. Chris contacted one of his return visits and I found one of mine - a nice lady from Scotland with her sweet little 2 year old daughter. Unfortunately she returned my BT book and said she is not interested in religion and does not feel there is a God. She has always felt this way. But she did say when I'm in the area, I could stop by and say HI. So you never know - circumstances change. You wouldn't believe how many atheists we met in our territory. Its seems like every other person is. Then on Saturday we met as a congregation to go to the villages for the special service day. There was great support, as always. Our group went out to Pezenas (awesome village about an hour away) for service. I met this lady from England. She gave me her number and email address so I could contact her again. But I think she wants us to come listen to her play gospel music! Chris met this very very friendly man from Denmark. He apologized for not being able to invite us in this time but asked us to come back. He's agnostic but very open and his wife is more religious so he said we could talk to her too. He wants to talk about Buddhism next time. In the other car group, one couple met a man and his wife and offered the BT book. The husband I guess told them they were not interested in being converted (where would he get that idea from) but the wife readily accepted the book and said she wanted to read it. So a lot of activity happening around here. Seems like we are finding more people home because they are moving back into their vacation homes for the spring/summer period.
Very exciting to be here but believe me we miss you all everyday. Jah willing, our plans are to be back home in May. Give our love to everyone and have a great week! Au revoir.
