Hello.  How are you doing?  We are enjoying our visit with Amanda.  I know she is familiar with the type of service we do here.  You have to search for names and try to find english speaking or in her case back home, french speaking.  It's a lot of work but very rewarding when you find someone.  I was so pleased that on our first day in the ministry together with her, we found 2 gentlemen from England.

We had hoped to have some of our return visits and Chris' bible study come to the memorial but they were not able.  It was too bad but it was a nice attendance.  We had a few visitors but not too many since we had the later time slot.

The next day after memorial, we took Amanda and a sister from the congregation on a mini-trip over the border to San Remo, Italy and then to the French Riveria (or Côte d'Azur).  We stayed with a sister's mom that lives near there.  We even went to our first French meeting...and NO we did not understand anything!  Wow, 6 months in France and we only picked up a few scriptures...how terrible!  After the meeting, we were surrounded by so many nice brothers and sisters.  They even tried to speak English with us, which they did a good job.  Good thing we had our translating friends with us to help us out.  There were ones in the congregation that are learning English and another language and even more...3 and 4 languages!  We have got to learn a second language...it's ridiculous.

Bonsoir and Have a great week!

  1. Howdy,

International jewel thieves are headed to your part of the country. Be careful. Their names are Randy and Mel.

    Christopher and Tamara say howdy.
